The Malaysia Gold & Jewellery Trade Exhibition (MGJE) 2026 was officially launched by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Malaysia, with the opening ceremony attended by association leaders, industry representatives, exhibitors, buyers, and media members from across the country, marking a significant milestone for Malaysia’s gold and jewellery industry.
Organised by the Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornaments Merchants Association (PWGS) and co-organised by the Malaysia Gold Association (MGA), MGJE 2026 was successfully held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang, bringing together more than 100 local and international exhibition booths and reaffirming its position as one of Malaysia’s premier annual gold and jewellery trade events.
Now in its fourth edition, MGJE has steadily evolved into a regional trade platform for the gold and jewellery industry, attracting manufacturers, wholesalers, machinery suppliers, designers, international buyers, and industry leaders from China, Hong Kong, Türkiye, India, Vietnam, Singapore, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries. The exhibition continues to foster cross-border business collaboration and industry networking opportunities.
This year’s exhibition adopted the theme “AI Empowering the Future of Gold & Jewellery”, showcasing the integration of artificial intelligence with traditional jewellery craftsmanship. Highlights included AI-powered jewellery design, digital human models, and 3D printing technology, demonstrating how innovation and heritage can work hand in hand to shape the future of the industry.
In addition to facilitating B2B business matching and international buyer engagement, the exhibition was also open to the public (B2C), offering promotional deals, lucky draws, live-streaming sales activities, and the MGJE International Networking Night, further enhancing industry exposure and market engagement.
